Literacy Program

A school-wide literacy program enables us to demonstrate to students the important connection of literacy (reading, writing, and communicating) to every curriculum and to life.  We provide students with opportunities to increase their level of literacy by participating in various activities which can also contribute to the students’ cultural and character education.

Word of the Day
Each morning a new vocabulary word is introduced from dictionary.com to the students during the announcements.  This word is discussed or used in classrooms during that day.
